Autumn Musings

27-Oct-2008

Greetings and Salutations!

I'm happy to announce the arrival of a new book:
ONE IS A FEAST FOR MOUSE: A Thanksgiving Tale.

"One is a Feast for Mouse" tells the story of Mouse, whose eyes are bigger than his stomach.(Don't we all have that problem on Thanksgiving?) Mouse starts gathering his Thanksgiving dinner with just one teensy-tiny green pea, but somehow ends up with the entire feast!

This picture book is illustrated by the amazing Jeffrey Ebbeler. You can see samples of the art on his website: www.jeffillustration.com. I particularly love the picture of Mouse walking behind the glass candlesticks.

I was inspired to write this story while musing on the meaning of the old adage, "Enough is as good as a feast", and reminding myself to be grateful for what I have. At the end of the book, Mouse ends up with his pea and says "Give Thanks!"

In that spirit, I'd like to thank all of my readers and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Best,
Judy
